The Waterloo Region Upstream Fund Supports Hope For Community Development's Entrepreneurship Program

Kitchener, Ontario




Hope for Community Development is supported by the Region of Waterloo Upstream fund which is intended to improve the health and wellbeing of Indigenous, Black, racialized and other communities facing discrimination.


With the $50,000 received, Hope for Community Development will offer a number of workshops and resources to young entrepreneurs through its Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Support Program. This program will keep youth engaged and prevented from participating in unlawful employment activities.


Investing in community safety and wellbeing has been an ongoing priority of Regional Council, and the Upstream Fund was created to help address root causes affecting health and wellbeing.
