[Kitchener, Ontario] —March 4, 2026 - Hope for Community Development is pleased to announce that it has been officially designated as a registered charity by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). This recognition marks a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the social, educational, and economic well‑being of marginalized, newcomer, and racialized youth and families.
Achieving charitable status affirms the organization’s adherence to rigorous standards of governance, accountability, and transparency. It also enables Hope for Community Development to issue official donation receipts for income tax purposes, enhancing its capacity to attract philanthropic support and expand its community impact.
“This designation reflects the dedication of our volunteers, the trust of our partners, and the resilience of the communities we serve,” said Ralph Dagoseh, Founder of Hope for Community Development. “With charitable status, we are better positioned to broaden our programs, strengthen our outreach, and invest in initiatives that create lasting opportunities for youth and families.”
In the coming months, our organization will introduce and expand access to educational supports, enhance leadership development pathways, strengthen newcomer integration, etc. This represents the next step in Hope for Community Development’s long‑term strategy to address systemic barriers and foster inclusive, thriving communities.
