Hope for Community Development in Kitchener has been awarded $22,500 from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program to help seniors be connected and active members of their communities.

(Kitchener, ON) – November 15, 2025 – Hope for Community Development is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $22, 500 in funding from the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program. This significant investment will have a meaningful impact on communities in Kitchener and help to improve seniors’ quality of life.

“Hope for Community Development continues to make a difference for seniors in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and beyond. This funding from the New Horizons for Seniors Program is transformative for our community,” said Francess Dunhann, CEO/Director of Hope for Community Development. “It enables us to provide seniors in Kitchener with opportunities to actively engage, share their experiences, and enhance their well-being through workshops, social activities, and creative arts. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community where seniors are empowered to thrive and make meaningful contributions.”
